Devi Mahatmayam is one of the most popular Sanskrit text recited during the Navaratri time across India.

It is part of the Markandeya Purana and consist of 700 Slokas and is also referred to as Saptashati. The language of this work is very simple as simple words are used in the same.

Any Sanskrit beginner with basic knowledge of Sanskrit of sandhi and few tenses will be easily be able to read and understand the same.
